Building Permit and Materials
- The building permit – The initial step to any of our projects is to pull the appropriate permits to complete the job. We properly display the permit for the duration of the job and we don't remove it until the final inspection is complete.
- Materials are delivered – The materials are ordered for your roof. Once the materials are delivered they are investigated for accurate colors, quantities and damage.
Safety and Production Meeting
- Safety and Production Meeting – The morning of the build the Project Manager holds a safety and procedural meeting with the crew to insure that everyone is on the same page.
- Safety Equipment and Tool Inspection – The Project Manager inspects the safety equipment, ladders, and the other tools that will be employed on the job.
Removal of Existing Roofing Materials
- Complete Tear Off Down to the Sheathing – All of the exisitng roof materials are removed and replaced all of the way down to the sheathing.
- Sheathing is Inspected and Replaced if Necessary – The Sheathing is then inspected for damage. If any damage is found the sheathing will be replaced. The sheathing is then fastened according to current building codes.
Underlayment and Water Barrier
- New Underlayment is applied – New underlayment is then installed to every square foot of the sheathing.
- Water Barrier is applied – Water Barrier is installed when required by the International Building Code or local jurisdiction.
Metal Work, Flashing, Ventilation and New Roof Materials
- The Metal Work and Ventilation are installed – At this point the metal work and ventilation phase commences. We install Drip Edge Metal, Valley Metal, and either Static Vents or Ridge Vent.
- New Roof Materials are Installed – The New roofing materials are applied in accordance with manufacturers instructions in a systematic manner.
Quality Control
- Roof is Completed and Inspected – The roofing Materials are completely installed. The roof is inspected by the Project Manager to certify it as complete for warranty purposes. At this point the manufacturer's warranty and Pro-Serve's 5 year Labor warranty are in effect.
- The Final Inspection is Ordered – The roof is now under warranty. The final inspection is ordered from the permit issuing jurisdiction in Charlotte Harbor, Florida
Clean up and Debris Removal
- Time to Clean up – The roof is done but no job is complete until the clean up is performed. The entire property and the neighbor's property line(s) are magnetically raked for nails and all of the debris from the job is removed.
- Project Manager Inspects Entire Property – The Project Manager makes sure that the property is left in an as good or better than cleanliness condition than upon arrival.
